Thanks for playing!

My little blog that I only started less than three months ago has already had 1,000 visits!  I know many of you seasoned bloggers get that kind of traffic in one day, but this little blogger is surprised by that number.  Being an internet marketer, you’d think I’d have pulled out all my marketing skills and applied them to my blog – but I have not.  It’s growing 100% organically – just the way I wanted, if it was to get a following at all.

Blogging is a funny thing.  Us bloggers will say things on our blog, to the whole world potentially, that we wouldn’t necessarily say to our friend sitting on our couch.  I can’t explain why it’s easier – but it is.  It’s very freeing and a great exercise in vulnerability.  I truly believe that we are meant to share our stories.  Besides relating to others, if we do not share – we do not preserve our past.  And eventually, we leave no mark in this world.  Our stories don’t have to be extravagant, or filled with super-courage, or anything extreme.  They just have to be real, and good reflections of who we are.  Like Dr. Seuss says,

Today you are you, that is truer than true.  There is no one alive who is youer than you.

Not everyone will like us, or that we tell our stories.  And?  Not everyone liked us anyways.  And frankly, most people don’t really know us.  They know our favorite colors, what we love to eat, what we do for work, etc.  But those kind of relationships are not as rich as they could be, if we would only share ourselves.

It is my intention to continue to unfurl myself in this space with my stories.  Please join me by commenting below and tell the world WHO you are in one sentence.  I will start:

I am a deep feeling, passionate, loving, creative woman.

By commenting, you will be entered into my RANDOM draw to win the above artwork by Flor Larios.  It’s called Mother and Child and it speaks dearly to my heart.  It will be a 6×8 inch print.

If you are not ready to tell the world just who you are, feel free to leave any comment you wish to qualify for the drawing :-)

Your comment must be in by midnight (PST), Wednesday the 12th to be in the drawing.

THANK YOU for reading my blog!

UPDATE: As much as I may like to be, I am NOT Flor! There has been some confusion over this.  I am Angela.  Flor is Flor.  I am simply giving away one of her prints because I love it so much!  ;-)
