It’s been awhile since I painted. It seems to go in spurts. Maybe I felt inspired again because I just cleaned up and organized my ‘studio’/office. Of course now, my mind is flooded with inspiration – too much to ever really grab hold of and express. It seems to be all of nothing, even by way of inspiration for me.
I don’t have a title for her yet – she was inspired by a photo I took and processed, and the song “Vincent”, namely the lyric:
“This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you.”
…Maybe that should be her title?
Here she is in black and white:

It’s also been fun to digitally enhance her, which creates completely new and separate art:

Here is the photo and lyric that inspired the tones and expression:

Starry, starry night.
Paint your palette blue and grey.
Look out on a summer’s day,
with eyes that know the darkness in my soul.
For they could not love you,
but still your love was true.
This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you…
-Don McLean | Vincent (Starry Starry Night)
It’s a tragic and beautiful song – about Vincent Van Gogh, and how he was not understood by the ‘world’ until he died. Listen to the song set to a video of his paintings: Vincent by Don McLean

love the ones with the 3 eyes. i think the bluish one.hard to choose
