I’ve decided I want to learn too much, too fast on my creative journey. Oh. Well. Tonight I played with video editing software for the first time and am so excited for the doors that would open by learning that craft! For now, here is a video of my sweet grand-daughter, Anela, spinning in her new skirt ‘Grandpa Angel’ and I got her for Christmas. It could use an intro and an outro… but I’ll figure that one out later. (Okay, isn’t she so cute? I mean, what else would you do after putting on a new sparkly skirt… spin, of course!)
Did you know Oprah has a new You Tube ‘esque website now for people to post videos to? It’s called Your Own Channel, and is more a space for people to share their stories and journeys. She even offers featured assignments for vloggers in case they can’t think of anything else to vlog about, or just want to participate! Like, ‘How Do You Recharge Your Life?’ or ‘What Meal Brings Your Family to the Table?’ It looks fun!
To me, the best part is after you create your own channel, you can use its very own proprietary video editing software for free. I’m sure it might be amateur for someone with skills – but for someone who has never done video editing, nor has any of their own software, I think it’s a gem! I knew nothing and was able to clip the video down to just the part I wanted, take out the sound, add a track, make it grayscale, add some text, and add an old film affect.
Check it out and have fun with it! If you create anything, please post a link to your video in the comments :-)
Oh, here is my channel.
